The "Kano" of my Life

Six years ago, I was told that I had found freedom. Little did I know that just two weeks later, in August 2018, I would meet the "KANO" of my life. What started as a simple friendship quickly transformed into a love story beyond my wildest dreams.

He truly is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Life has presented its challenges, and those who know me are aware of the struggles I’ve faced. Still, I always held onto the belief that God would reward me for my patience, and here He is — a blessing for which I am eternally grateful.

His sense of humor never fails to bring a smile to my face, and he embodies love, intelligence, and kindness.

He accepts me just as I am, without concern for my weight, skin tone, or the occasional annoyance I may cause. He appreciates my natural beauty, considering it divine. He embraces my children as his own and goes out of his way to ensure they feel comfortable with him. Effort is something he emphasizes, and it's something he truly demonstrates. He often reminds me that I bring value to his life, just as he adds value to mine. He reassures me that he is here to make my life easier, not harder, and for that, I am incredibly thankful.

He never ceases to surprise me. What more could I ask for? The man God has sent into my life has exceeded all my expectations.

Now, I am happily married to my loving and caring "KANO" of my life.
And on that day forward, I will not merely promise, but dedicate myself to listening to him and learning from him, to supporting him and embracing his support in return.

I am grateful to the Lord for the love that unites our hearts and for the spiritual fellowship we share in marriage. I will love, honor, and cherish him always. As we embark on the privileges and joys of this sacred relationship and begin the wonderful journey of creating a Christian home, I will regard him as my partner and leader. I will stand by him in sickness and in health, in times of wealth and poverty, in sorrow and in joy, remaining true to him by God's grace, trusting in him for as long as we both shall live.

Panlasang Pinoy...what's your fave dish? Here's Mine ^_^

I am Foodie person! Food is my weakness, but in moderation! Every Pinoy has its favorite among the quintessential Filipino dishes.   Filipino food can be defined by its combination of sour, sweet, salty and spicy...sometimes all in the same dish. Ever wonder what your favorite Filipino food says about you?  Whenever I go places, I make sure I got their specialties, delicacies or what's in the pride of the place. Since food is my weakness, here are the foods that are really my weaknesses. ^_^

Yummy PALABOK! Ever since in my childhood days, this is already my favorite meryenda.  I like it in Joan's who has been still serving Palabok until now, since they have this menu during my elementary days, and Yolly's Palabok (GenSan)! And still nothing beats my Inda's (my Mom) Palabok is the best!

KARE KARE! This is sooo mouth watering dish, made of Oxtail or you can have Beef shank as an option with it's bagoong alamang (Shrimp paste).

And of course, Pinoy's HALO HALO for dessert! This is already all year round and no longer summer season favorite!

Yes,CHICKEN INASAL is roast chicken, but it’s no ordinary roast chicken. What can you say with this juicy Mang Inasal Chicken Barbeque with unlimited rice? Perfect!!!

My fave...COLLETTE'S BUKO PIE of Laguna City!!! The best buko pie I've ever tasted with it's creaminess and pure buko meat!

Vigan, Ilocos BAGNET!!! They say it is just like Lechon Kawali or Pork Rind, but for me, it is still different. It has a unique taste that Lechon Kawali or ordinary Pork Rind does not have.

And last but not the least, from the hometown of my Great grandparents, grandparents and my parents...PAMPANGA'S best TABA NG TALANGKA or CRAB PASTE! You may say what's that or whatever...but for me this is Perrfecctt!
Taba ng talangka is fermented paste from the salted roe and aligue of river swimming crabs sautéed in garlic and preserved in oil.

I loved Filipinos food. And I believe, there are two reasons why: the food itself and how we enjoy eating it with other people.
Filipino has a lot of dish, but these are the most like and my weaknesses ever in my entire life.
Tara! Kain na po Tayo!

AXA: Live the life you choose...

At AXA, we believe that we all have what it takes to live a better life whatever that may be. Believe in yourself and your goals, and count on us to help you overcome those difficulties and seize opportunities along the way.

This is the story of Lisa, an AXA client.

Nepal, April 25th, 2015. An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 mms struck Nepal. Lisa was amongst the victims. She was injured and trapped under the rubble of her house.
AXA played an important role in her repatriation, her medical and psychological recovery, which helped her find the strength inside her to move forward and come back to Nepal to live the life she wanted.

Working at AXA was a great starting experience to get into sales. You are trained well and management gives you all the tools that you need to succeed in your goals.
The thing I value most working with AXA is having the flexibility of my time for work. As Financial Advisor for AXA, I enjoy having control over all of my tasks and goals.

I currently work for AXA as Financial Advisor and truly enjoy it. The management is great, the training is thorough, and the workplace culture is caring, inclusive, and rewarding. You have to work to make it, there are people who are willing to help you. You will be trained in various aspects of areas all intended to help create a solid path.

I go out and meet people and get that information back to AXA and they know what to do and help my clients. You can grow a good practice at AXA. Management has been very supportive. You have to be mentally tough and disciplined. It is more of a commissioned based job, so you get back exactly what you put in.
Working with people to help them make sure they can retire with dignity if very rewarding.
Best part of the job is having clients refer you to someone else or teach you something - shows they TRUST you as their Financial Advisor.
If you are the type that enjoys sales and wants to enter the world of Financial Advisory, AXA is a great place.
Have your plan started! Failproof your families future. LIFE is uncertain, we never know what happens next.
TRUST AXA Philippines!

Single Motherhood...

When fate brings you to be like this. Does it have to be a choice? Or circumstance brings you to it. It's a difficult task to be a mom and dad at the same time and pulling this thru, wow...isn't it amazing???
My heart goes out to everyone who is a single parent ... and I was thinking that even in the darkest moments of our "single motherhood" we can see the JOYS of being a single parent.  The best part about being a single mom is knowing that when they are happy you made that happen, when they are sad you are the one that can make them feel better, they will always come to you and the joy you feel in your heart when that happens is the best thing in the whole world!

I always wonder why some men are put off by single moms. They seem to have the perception of them being desperate or clingy.

Dating a single mom does't mean you'll be playing daddy, it just means you'll be becoming part of a family and a role model for a child. If you aren't ready to step up, then don't step to her.

How do you accept that the bio-dad will be around even though he may be causing you partner grief and creating tension on your relationship?
MY home is now one of peace - without the constant frustrations of a marriage gone bad. I can do with my kids what I want, I can enjoy them - not having to focus on trying to salvage a bad marriage.

There is no more yelling, no more angry, no more tears. We were part of an abusive relationship and being away from that life now, with the help of the LORD, I can see so many parts of our lives that I would never take back. The best part of being a single mother to me, is the close relationship that I have with my kids. Because it's just you and your children, they only have you to depend on and trust and talk too. Don't take that for granted!!

The way I see it, I have my kids trained just the way I like them. I have taught them, nurtured them, raised them, and molded them and nothing in my eyes is more beautiful or perfect than these precious gifts... Each time one of my kids smile or tell me thank you, it makes all of the hard, tiring moments worth it!!!

So, to all single moms outhere...You are strong, beautiful, courageous, fearless, graceful, and irreplaceable.

Our greatest contribution to the kingdom of God may not be something you do but someone you raise.

Finally this has been ended...

Have you ever been so addicted to Kdrama that it interfered with your life?

This was really a biggest mistake for me and I feel guilty of this. I can't even remember those titles, different dramas and how many of them I've watch. One thing I can remember are the actors that made me crazy looking after one another of their own dramas. They say drama is created by your reactions to something that happened in the past, present or projected in to the future. Yeah, I get that. The story we attach to it and the meaning and emotion we associate with the event. The common mistake people make when dealing with dramatic events is to allow themselves to get stuck in them.

JONG SANG WOOK was a hit! Such a great actor in his 30's, and I blamed you for being a good one, you've got me! haha! It's started with "The Birth of a Beauty" "Cunning Single Lady" "Giant" "Thorn Birds" "Good Doctor" "Kimcheed Raddish Cubes" "Feast of the Gods" and so on. What made me look forward is the story itself. I was hooked up with stories like the lead man was a CEO, President of a Company, Chaebol, or Wealthy man with a personality of a high and mighty, arrogant but romantic executive with all the image of a man in a suit, coming down from a black executive car, with his assistant walking along with him, entering in a high storey building and every employees bows to him along the way. What a scene! And there's goes the leading lady in a low profile image...having a turmoil, cat and dog relationship with the lead man but ending up of falling in love with each other. This was a common story, but what makes me go for it is the scenes, the place, the wardrobes, elegant condos, great cars, beautiful Korea and of course the giggles.
It doesn't matter how early or late you start. Once you start watching an episode, one episode leads to ten more and before you know it the sun has risen. Aigoo!! This is me!! The dark circles under your eyes are oh so worth it when you finally finish a good drama with an equally good ending.
I can't imagine what made me watched all this dramas with those sleepless nights and made me guilty of it. This is so childish of me! Finally I get over it!

The bottom line is this: how you feel determines your attitude. Your attitude then determines your actions, which ultimately determines the outcome.
