I am Foodie person! Food is my weakness, but in moderation! Every Pinoy has its favorite among the quintessential Filipino dishes. Filipino food can be defined by its combination of sour, sweet, salty and spicy...sometimes all in the same dish. Ever wonder what your favorite Filipino food says about you? Whenever I go places, I make sure I got their specialties, delicacies or what's in the pride of the place. Since food is my weakness, here are the foods that are really my weaknesses. ^_^
Yummy PALABOK! Ever since in my childhood days, this is already my favorite meryenda. I like it in Joan's who has been still serving Palabok until now, since they have this menu during my elementary days, and Yolly's Palabok (GenSan)! And still nothing beats my Inda's (my Mom) Palabok is the best!
KARE KARE! This is sooo mouth watering dish, made of Oxtail or you can have Beef shank as an option with it's bagoong alamang (Shrimp paste).
And of course, Pinoy's HALO HALO for dessert! This is already all year round and no longer summer season favorite!
Yes,CHICKEN INASAL is roast chicken, but it’s no ordinary roast chicken. What can you say with this juicy Mang Inasal Chicken Barbeque with unlimited rice? Perfect!!!
My fave...COLLETTE'S BUKO PIE of Laguna City!!! The best buko pie I've ever tasted with it's creaminess and pure buko meat!
Vigan, Ilocos BAGNET!!! They say it is just like Lechon Kawali or Pork Rind, but for me, it is still different. It has a unique taste that Lechon Kawali or ordinary Pork Rind does not have.
Taba ng talangka is fermented paste from the salted roe and aligue of river swimming crabs sautéed in garlic and preserved in oil.
I loved Filipinos food. And I believe, there are two reasons why: the food itself and how we enjoy eating it with other people.
Filipino has a lot of dish, but these are the most like and my weaknesses ever in my entire life.
Tara! Kain na po Tayo!
